We had a terrific interview with Stan Senner, Director of Bird Conservation - Pacific Flyway for The Audubon Society.  We learned some amazing things about shorebird migration and life cycle - for example, the Semipalmated Sandpiper eats Lemming teeth out of Snowy Owl pellets, in order to gain calcium for egg-laying!  And the Bar-tailed Godwit flies directly from Alaska to New Zealand, more than 7,000 miles over open ocean, flapping continuously for 8 straight days.

Complete interview here.  Listen and be amazed!
