This week on Women's Voices, we are joined by a brand new host, Nina Gerona. She will be interviewing professor, counselor and author Laura Choate about her new book, Swimming Upstream: Parenting girls for resilience in a toxic culture.

We will be talking about strategies to help young women develop positive self esteem and body image, create healthy relationships and avoid becoming overwhelmed by the academic and extracurricular pressures. We will also learn more about the specific difficulties of growing up in a generation flooded by technology and media. You may join our discussion by calling in to the station to ask questions or share your own experiences dealing with these issues.

The show will air Monday December 14th from 7-8 pm.
